
Michelle Gerwitz serves as a paralegal for McAfee & Taft’s worldwide aircraft financing, title and registration practice and works directly with the firm’s aviation attorneys to ensure their clients’ interests in aircraft, engines and helicopters are protected and in compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration procedures and the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Aircraft Protocol. Her responsibilities include examining and reviewing aircraft and engine records, preparing aircraft closing instruments for filing and recordation with the FAA, reviewing and compiling FAA records for outstanding/resolved title and lien issues, and preparing title memoranda.
Michelle joined McAfee & Taft in 2012, bringing with her more than 21 years experience in the transportation and distribution industries. For nearly 20 years, she served as a fleet coordinator and central purchasing director for a leading transporter of petroleum products in a six-state area. Most recently, she worked as a marketing assistant and purchasing agent for one of the nation’s largest distributors of premium wine and spirits.
