Nancy Marshall

Paralegal

Nancy Marshall serves as a paralegal to the firm’s intellectual property group. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing patent, trademark and copyright applications and conducting trademark availability searches. She also manages domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and coordinates with a network of foreign associates regarding patent and trademark protection.

Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Nancy worked for the intellectual property groups at two of Oklahoma City’s largest law firms, gaining significant experience in the development, management and prosecution of patents, trademarks and copyrights as well as the use of IP docketing software. Her legal experience also includes work in criminal law, litigation, products liability, education law and employment law. In addition to her work in the legal field, Nancy served as executive assistant to the Oklahoma division president of a major U.S. food supply company and legal account officer for a financial services company.

In 1993, while clerking for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, Nancy obtained her legal assistant certificate from the University of Oklahoma. She is also CLEET certified and has completed the computer technology training program at Moore-Norman Vo-tech. Nancy is a member of the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants.
