Nick Halbroeder is a corporate lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of business, commercial, finance and real estate matters, including business entity selection and formation, contract drafting and review, stock and asset acquisitions and sales, business mergers, corporate governance and compliance, and transaction financing. As part of his real estate practice, he represents clients in the buying, selling, development, and financing of improved and unimproved real property, including title and survey diligence, analysis of zoning and land use regulations, review of various agreements and covenants, and the negotiation and documentation of transaction documents. He also represents and counsels property management companies, landlords, and tenants on commercial leasing and subleasing transactions.
Nick earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal (ONE-J) and vice president of the Business Law Society. He was honored with the Micheal Waters Dedicated Service Award in recognition of his leadership and commitment to the law journal, earned an American Jurisprudence Award for academic achievement in Mergers and Acquisitions, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.
Before entering the legal profession, Nick spent more than a decade in the culinary industry, holding leadership roles with the University of Oklahoma’s Food Services division, ultimately serving as chef where he maintained effective leadership over six distinct operations. There, he earned his Lean Six Sigma certification and developed a client-service mindset grounded in responsiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Working in both front-of-house and operational roles gave him a comprehensive perspective that continues to shape his approach to serving clients today, as he strives to understand every aspect of a matter, anticipate client needs, and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions.
