Overview

Ryan Callahan is a tax and business lawyer whose practice encompasses the areas of asset protection and wealth transfer tax planning for high net worth families and individuals, business and tax planning for closely held family businesses, estate and trust planning and administration, consulting on business and transaction taxation and tax-advantaged activities, and the resolution of tax disputes and controversies with state and federal authorities.

A portion of Ryan’s practice is devoted to advising businesses of all sizes on design, implementation and administration of executive compensation and incentive programs, including stock option plans, phantom stock plans, restricted stock award plans, mid-term and long-term incentive awards, and nonqualified deferred compensation and supplemental retirement plans. He also counsels clients on compliance with Internal Revenue Code sections 40A, 162(m) and 280G, as well as with Securities and Exchange Commission disclosure requirements.

The Oklahoma native, who owns and operates a cattle company and earned his undergraduate degree in animal science, is a member of the firm’s Agriculture and Equine Industry Group, which is dedicated to representing and protecting the rights and assets of families, public and private companies, and other organizations engaged in agriculture and livestock-based businesses.

Ryan graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2021 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2024.
