
As a paralegal with the firm’s Tax and Family Wealth group, Shawn Hester provides support to lawyers engaged in a broad range of estate planning and administration matters, wealth transfer tax planning for families and individuals, business planning for closely held family businesses, tax structuring of complex business transactions, formation and administration of tax-exempt organizations, general tax planning for corporations, partnerships and individuals, business entity formation, and local, state and federal taxation.
Shawn joined McAfee & Taft in 2022, bringing with her more than 13 years of legal experience working as a paralegal and office manager in private practice and as a paralegal and land tech for a publicly held independent energy company. Her prior career experience also working as a manager in various roles for a professional land services company for nearly 10 years.
Outside of the office, Shawn is a volunteer for Jesus House, a nonprofit organization serving men and women in Oklahoma City who are homeless, addicted and underprivileged.
