Sherri Dawson is an experienced professional who brings more than 20 years of legal and administrative experience to her role as office manager of McAfee & Taft’s Tulsa office. She joined the firm following McAfee & Taft’s merger with the Tulsa-based litigation firm of Eldridge Cooper Steichen & Leach in 2011.
Sherri oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of McAfee & Taft’s Tulsa operations and serves as a liaison with the firm’s office services, human resources, information systems, accounting, records management, library administration and marketing departments.
The Tulsa native began her career in the legal industry in 1991 as a receptionist for a mid-sized civil practice law firm and was subsequently trained to serve as a paralegal and later as a billing specialist. Upon joining the newly formed law firm of Eldridge Cooper Steichen & Leach in 2002, Sherri was named office administrator, where her diverse responsibilities included overseeing the firm’s human resources, benefits, payroll, billing and bookkeeping functions.
Sherri is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and previously served three terms as the Tulsa chapter’s secretary and one term as its interim programs chair.
