Bio overview

Tim Spencer is a trial lawyer whose broad state and federal practice encompasses the areas of complex business litigation, products liability, professional liability, personal injury, and insurance defense. Tim has developed hands-on experience in all aspects of civil litigation while representing clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of contexts, including breach of contract, construction, personal injury, products liability, and professional negligence.

A native Tulsan, Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Wellness and Management from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK.  While attending Oklahoma Christian, he was a four-year letter winner on the men’s soccer team. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2017. While pursuing his Juris Doctor, he served as the managing editor for the ABA’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources – Year in Review and as the editor for the Energy Law Journal and received two CALI Awards for Legal Excellence.

Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2019, Tim practiced at a Tulsa-based law firm, handling all aspects of general civil litigation from pre-litigation to trial.
