Overview

Travis Adams is a corporate attorney whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and business transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures of companies and real estate assets, entity formation, secured transactions, and lease and development matters. He advises clients across a wide array of industries, including retail, energy, healthcare and manufacturing, on strategic growth and operational matters.

Travis regularly represents clients in high-value real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing. He also assists companies with corporate transactions such as stock and asset mergers, minority investments, and strategic divestitures. His work spans due diligence, negotiation and drafting of purchase agreements, lease agreements, and transaction documents, as well as coordination of closings and post-closing governance matters.

Travis’ achievements have earned him recognition in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America (corporate law, mergers and acquisitions law, and real estate law) and in Oklahoma Super Lawyers’ list of “Oklahoma Rising Stars,” which recognizes the state’s up-and-coming attorneys.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a professional men’s soccer club in the acquisition of real property for the development of a multipurpose stadium in downtown Oklahoma City.
  • Represented a founder-owned oil and gas pipeline construction company in connection with a strategic minority private equity investment, including a corporate restructuring implemented as an F reorganization in advance of the investment.
  • Currently representing a publicly traded national retailer in a series of acquisitions related to the development and operation of new store locations across Texas and Oklahoma.
  • Represented a regional healthcare nonprofit organization in the acquisition of improved commercial property for its new headquarters operations.
  • Represented an affiliate of a large publicly traded oil and gas company in the disposition of a multi-building corporate campus in Oklahoma City.
  • Represented one of the world’s leading producers of military and civilian small-caliber ammunition in connection with its planned major U.S. manufacturing facility in Oklahoma.
  • Represented a large nonprofit healthcare system in the sale of a closed 191,324-square-foot hospital campus in southwest Oklahoma City to the State of Oklahoma for the purpose of converting the complex into a behavioral health hospital.
  • Represented Oklahoma’s largest locally owned grocery chain in connection with the acquisition of multiple pharmacy locations throughout the state.
  • Represented a national fuel and convenience retailer in connection with acquisitions and divestitures of fuel terminals across the United States.
