Brandon L. Buchanan joins McAfee & Taft

McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma City’s largest law firm, has announced that Brandon L. Buchanan has joined the firm as its newest litigation associate.

Buchanan has been practicing law since 2000. His current practice is focused on labor and employment law, products liability defense, mass torts, and litigation involving healthcare, insurance and construction disputes. He is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, American Bar Association, Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and International Association of Defense Counsel.

Buchanan graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. While at the University of Oklahoma, he was a member of the President’s Leadership Class, named to Pe-et and Phi Beta Kappa, and was awarded the Gold Letzeiser Medal.  He later went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2000.

His previous experience includes serving as a legal advisor to the Oklahoma State Senate Judiciary, law clerk to Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Marian P. Opala, and legislative director for the University of Oklahoma.
