Business look ahead: Energy industry should stabilize in 2017

published in The Tulsa World | January 1, 2017

In a New Year’s Day article in The Tulsa World titled “Energy industry should stabilize in 2017,” writer Casey Smith talked to local industry experts, including McAfee & Taft attorney Tracy Poole, about their forecasts for the energy industry in the coming year. While progress has been slow, commodity prices are on the rise, with crude oil futures hitting their highest point in 18 months by the end of 2016.

Poole is optimistic the industry will rebound and said he’s already started to see modest increases in investment and development as a result of rising oil prices. He noted that activity has picked up in the renewable energy sector as well.
