Chambers USA 2025 honors McAfee & Taft as top-ranked firm, 39 attorneys singled out for individual state and national honors

McAfee & Taft received top marks in the 2025 edition of the exclusive Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the ranked categories of Corporate/Commercial, Energy & Natural Resources, Environment, Healthcare, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment, Litigation, Real Estate, and Tax in Oklahoma.

For the second consecutive year, McAfee & Taft was one of only 17 firms in the United States — and the only firm in Oklahoma — to be awarded a national ranking in the category of Oil & Gas Litigation. Additionally, trial lawyers Tim Bomhoff, Laura Long, and Patrick Stein were three of only 49 lawyers in the United States to be ranked nationally in the category of Oil & Gas Litigation.

In addition to firm honors, 39 McAfee & Taft attorneys — including three first-time honorees — were singled out for individual statewide honors. Those named to the prestigious list for the very first time were Philip Bruce (Labor & Employment), Justin Jackson (Corporate/Commercial), and Laura Long (Energy & Natural Resources).

Named for inclusion in the “Corporate/Commercial” category were Chris Coleman, Danae Grace, Stephen Hetrick, and Josh Smith.

Tim Bomhoff, Patrick Stein, and Todd Woolery returned as honorees in “Energy & Natural Resources,” and Derek HardbergerRobert Joyce and Garry Keele were honored in “Environment.”

Cori Loomis, Rick Mullins, and Patricia Rogers were singled out for inclusion in the “Healthcare” category.

Returning honorees for “Intellectual Property” were Rachel BlueCliff Dougherty, Mike LaBrie, Zach Oubre, and Tony Rahhal.

Returning “Labor & Employment” honorees were Courtney BruMichael LauderdaleBrandon LongCharlie PlumbTony Puckett, and Kirk Turner.

Returning honorees for “Insurance” were Jessica Dickerson and Phil Richards.

Honorees for “Litigation: General Commercial” were Mary Quinn Cooper and Drew Neville.

Ranked for “Real Estate” were Frank Hill, Rob GarbrechtMyrna Latham, and Cole Marshall.

Mike Blake, Bonner Gonzalez, Matt Hickey and Tony Mastin returned as honorees in the corporate area of “Tax.”

Researchers with London-based Chambers & Partners Publishing, publishers of the 2025 guide, conducted in-depth interviews of attorneys and clients throughout the United States to identify and rank the nation’s leading business lawyers. The final rankings are based on such factors as technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/ astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.
