For the second consecutive year, McAfee & Taft was one of only 17 firms in the United States — and the only firm in Oklahoma — to be awarded a national ranking in the category of Oil & Gas Litigation in the prestigious Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In the recently released 2025 edition, the firm earned a Band 2 rating along with a number of international firms, including Holland & Knight, K&L Gates, Kirkland & Ellis, and Vinson & Elkins.

Additionally, trial lawyers Tim Bomhoff, Laura Long, and Patrick Stein were three of only 49 lawyers in the United States to be singled out for individual inclusion in the national ratings.

The researchers and publishers of the exclusive legal publication also awarded a top Band 1 rating to the firm’s energy practice in the category of Energy and Natural Resources in Oklahoma and highlighted shareholders Tim Bomhoff, Laura Long, Patrick Stein, and Todd Woolery for individual recognition. Bomhoff, a veteran trial lawyer with 37 years of experience, also holds the distinction of being the only attorney in Oklahoma to be awarded an individual Band 1 rating in the area of Energy and Natural Resources.
