David W. Mills joins McAfee & Taft as new controller

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has named David Mills as its new controller. In his new role, he oversees the financial and accounting functions of the firm and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, operational analysis, internal controls, and tax information reporting.

Prior to joining the firm, Mills served as chief financial officer of an SEC-registered investment management firm specializing in providing turnkey solutions for white-label domestic and international exchange-traded funds. His prior career experience also includes serving as the controller of an Oklahoma-based automotive management consulting company.

Mills is a 2001 graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
