DOL provides required notice posters for Families First Coronavirus Response Act
Today, the U.S. Department of Labor has provided employers covered by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act’s paid sick leave and expanded Family and Medical Leave provisions with the required notices to post. Employers must post the notice in a conspicuous place on its premises. The notice provides an explanation of employee rights to both paid sick leave and expanded Family and Medical Leave under the Act. Download it here.
Employers may satisfy the notice requirements of the Act by emailing or direct mailing the notice to employees, or posting the notice on an employee information internal or external website. Since the Act’s requirements only apply to current employees, the notice does not have to be shared with laid-off individuals or prospective employees.
All businesses covered by the Act (i.e., certain public sector employers and private sector employers with fewer than 500 employees) are required to post this notice, even if you are a small business owner.
