Employee Benefits: Legislative Outlook Briefing

Presented by McAfee & Taft and Watson Wyatt Worldwide

This year’s Congressional agenda could potentially have far-reaching effects on employee benefits, similar to ERISA in 1974 and tax reform in 1986.  Almost everything is on the table – Social Security, health care reform, tax code change, retirement security and PBGC solvency.

Ann Marie Breheny, a legislative specialist from Watson Wyatt’s Research and Information Center in Washington, D.C., will be on hand to address such issues as:

What is the Bush administration proposing and how is Congress likely to respond?
Which issues are being seriously considered and which are political statements?
What should employers do now to prepare?  What are the operational implications?  How will they affect your workforce?
