April 10, 2023

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced the addition of Isaac Treadaway to its top-ranked Labor & Employment Group. A 2020 honors graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Treadaway returned to Oklahoma after previously working in the Dallas and Houston offices of two of the nation’s largest law firms. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma, all state and federal courts in Texas, and federal court in New Mexico.

Treadaway’s practice is focused on the representation of employers and management in all phases of labor and employment law and dispute resolution. In addition to advising employers on state and federal compliance issues and best practices, his experience includes representing employers in FLSA and state wage law collective and class action cases, successfully prosecuting former employees of client companies for breach of restrictive covenants and misappropriation of trade secrets, and successfully defending employers against a broad range of job discrimination charges before the EEOC as well as lawsuits alleging discrimination and retaliation brought in federal court.

The Oklahoma native earned his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Science and Arts in Oklahoma and graduated with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he was awarded a Comfort Scholarship, served as an assistant managing editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, earned four American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence, and was named to the Order of the Coif.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Treadaway taught U.S. history and advanced computer applications and coached high school baseball and football for Meeker Public Schools for two years.
