Employment Update

Oklahoma Municipal League Employment Seminar

From the chambers of the Oklahoma Legislature and the U.S. Capitol to the governmental offices of federal agencies, a lot of people have a say as to how the workplace should be regulated and what (and whose) rights should be protected. In a presentation titled “Employment Update,” McAfee & Taft labor and employment lawyer Tony Puckett provides HR professionals and other officials from Oklahoma municipalities a review of recent state and federal laws which affect the workplace and the employer-employee relationship. Topics include key changes to the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act, the amended Oklahoma Anti-Discrimination Act (OADA), and the proper use of arrest and conviction information when making hiring decisions.
