Erin Van Laanen Named to List of World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers
Erin Van Laanen, a shareholder with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, has been named to Media Law Group’s prestigious Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers. Van Laanen is one of only 334 attorneys from 34 countries to be named to the international list of pre-eminent aviation law practitioners.
In her law practice, Van Laanen represents and counsels local, national and international clients on a wide variety of aviation matters, including aircraft title and registration, financing and leasing, matters concerning the U.S. Federal Aviation Act and the FAA Aircraft Registry in Oklahoma City, and the Cape Town Convention.
Van Laanen is a frequent speaker at aircraft conferences sponsored by the Strategic Research Institute, the American Bar Association, ABA Forum on Air and Space Law, the National Aircraft Finance Association, the Federal Bar Association Oklahoma City Chapter, and the International Institute for Research.
She serves on the board of directors and as general counsel for the Oklahoma County Bar Association and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She is also a barrister with the Oklahoma City chapter of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court.
