Fair Labor Standards Act
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) was passed in 1938, but even today employers have difficulty negotiating certain areas of the statute. Not only does the law contain some complex language, but numerous court interpretations and extensive regulations issued by the Department of Labor frequently add to the confusion. With the Department of Labor stepping up its enforcement activities, maintaining compliance is more important than ever.
