Harassment in the Workplace: What Would You Do?
Kristin M. Simpsen
Claims of harassment and retaliation remain the fastest growing source of employment-related charges and lawsuits in the United States and the issue was taken to a whole new level when allegations of sexual harassment against Harvey Weinstein in 2017 prompted thousands of people to come forth to share their experiences of harassment in the workplace as part of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.
Speaking at the March 2018 meeting of the Oklahoma Human Resources Society Emerging Professionals, McAfee & Taft labor and employment attorney Kristin Simpsen reviews a variety of workplace scenarios and walks participants through the process of recognizing and responding to observed or alleged incidences of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
