Benchmark Litigation gives McAfee & Taft top marks, singles out 13 firm attorneys for recognition

October 25, 2012

McAfee & Taft earned top marks in the just released 2013 edition of Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading business litigation firms and attorneys. In addition, 13 of the firm’s attorneys – the most of any law firm in Oklahoma – were singled out for recognition.

McAfee & Taft was recognized as “highly recommended,” reserved for those firms receiving the most mentions by peers and clients, and who were held as dominant in their particular jurisdiction.

Named as “local litigation stars” were Joseph Bocock, John Burkhardt, Mary Quinn Cooper, John Hermes, John Kenney, Michael Lauderdale, Charles Plumb, Reid Robison, Spencer Smith and Jeff Todd. Named as “future stars” were Michael McClintock, Ron Shinn and Amy White.

Benchmark focuses on the U.S. litigation market, with a research team conducting face-to-face interviews around the country with leading legal professionals, in-house counsel and business owners. It recognizes “local litigation stars” as those attorneys “who were consistently recommended as incontrovertible stars by clients and peers.” Attorneys who were consistently recommended by peer partners, competitors and clients as litigators who are likely to appear as local litigation stars in coming editions were recognized as “future stars.”

McAfee & Taft is Oklahoma’s largest law firm and one of the nation’s top 250 firms as ranked by the National Law Journal. With its deep roster of 180 attorneys, the firm serves clients locally, nationally and internationally in the areas of aviation, business law, corporate and securities, employee benefits, entertainment law, environmental law, healthcare, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, oil and gas, real estate and tax and family wealth.
