Innovation in Teaching and Learning Think Tank

University of Oklahoma K20 Center’s 2013 Innovative Learning Institute

On December 3, 2013, the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center, Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education and Dell host the K20 Center’s 2013 Innovative Learning Institute, “Innovation in Learning and Teaching Think Tank,” a gathering regional and national leaders in education and business to share best practices and develop a vision for the future of education. The Think Tank explores how schools in Oklahoma and around the country can support authentic inquiry-based learning and foster collaborative leadership through technology. The conversation, a part of Dell’s Social Think Tank series, includes a live-streaming to viewers around the world.

During two of the featured topics, “Inquiry-based Learning” and “Collaborative Teaching through Technology,” the distinguished panel includes McAfee & Taft shareholder and leader of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group John Kenney, joining Gregg Garn, dean of the University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, Jon Phillips, director of worldwide education at Dell, and other accomplished professionals. Moderated by Isa Adney, a first generation college graduate and author of Community College Success, the discussion centers around how technology can be used, from preschool through college, to best prepare students for success.
