Joel Bulleigh and Maria Gonzalez Named New Aviation Associates

Joel A. Bulleigh and Maria E. Gonzalez, distinguished graduates from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, have joined the law firm of McAfee & Taft as associates concentrating their practices on aviation matters relating to the financing, purchase, sale, leasing and registration of aircraft. The Oklahoma-based firm’s Aviation Group is one of the largest and most experienced of its kind in the United States.

As an undergraduate, Broken Arrow native Joel A. Bulleigh was named a University Scholar at Brigham Young University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2002. He later went on to graduate from with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he earned three American Jurisprudence awards, served as assistant note editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and was appointed to its judiciary committee.

Maria E. Gonzalez graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Austin College in 2003.  While at the University of Oklahoma, the Houston native founded the Hispanic American Law Student Association, served as president for the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law and as vice magistrar of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and was a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition Team and the ABA Negotiation Team.

In addition to her law practice, Gonzalez currently serves as a volunteer for the Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
