John A. Kenney Honored for Professionalism by Ginsburg American Inn of Court

John A. Kenney, a shareholder with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, has been awarded the John Shipp Award for Professionalism by the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court.

The honor is named after the former executive director of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is awarded annually to a member of the Inn who exhibits the highest levels of integrity, ethics and professionalism.

Kenney is a veteran trial lawyer whose practice at McAfee & Taft involves the litigation of complex business cases, including those involving intellectual property and other technical and scientific issues. He has handled and tried cases, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings and hearings in numerous state and federal courts in the United States, the Virgin Islands, and several foreign countries.

Founded in Oklahoma City in 1995, the Ginsburg American Inn of Court is comprised of judges, experienced lawyers, young attorneys, law professors and third-year law students whose common purpose is to raise the standards of legal excellence, professionalism and ethical awareness.  Focused on the development of skills, Inn programs provide creative, practical, interactive instruction in all areas of legal practice.
