published in The Verdict | March 9, 2014

McAfee & Taft shareholder John Hermes was a featured guest on The Verdict, a public affairs television program that explores current legal and social issues, to discuss the services provided by Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, a not-for-profit organization in Oklahoma that uses the time, talent and resources of qualified pro bono attorneys to represent abused, neglected and deprived children in the Juvenile Division of the Oklahoma County District Court. Hermes, who serves as the organization’s chairman of the board of directors, was joined on the show by Tsinena Bruno-Thompson, OLFC president and CEO.

The show, titled “OLFC – What is it?”, examined Oklahoma Lawyers for Children’s history and mission, its use of both lawyer and non-lawyer volunteers to provide free services, and the future plans of the organization.

The Verdict can be seen several times throughout the week on Cox Communications Channel 3 in Oklahoma City and Channel 3 in Tulsa. The show is hosted by Kent Meyers and Mick Cornett.
