FMLA Leave Rights and Responsibilities (for supervisors and managers)

In this presentation for JurisIQ Learning Center, labor and employment attorney Charlie Plumb discusses the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the rights it provides to employees to deal with their own health issues, and the health issues of their immediate family members as well. He also covers the responsibilities of supervisors and managers under the law and what they need to keep in mind when someone they supervise or manage requests leave or makes a casual reference about their health conditions or the health conditions of their immediate family members.

JurisIQ is a service of McAfee & Taft, providing unlimited online, on-demand access to an entire library of timely training videos and supplemental learning materials targeting all levels of a workforce — basic employment law and compliance training for the general workforce, expanded training for managers and supervisors, and detailed education and training for HR professionals, executives, and business owners.
