Lauderdale, Nix elected to McAfee & Taft board of directors

McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma City’s largest law firm, has announced that Michael F. Lauderdale and Richard D. Nix have been named as the newest members of its board of directors. W. Chris Coleman, J. Dudley Hyde, Michael E. Joseph and Steven R. Welch were re-elected to serve another one-year term. They join managing director John N. Hermes on the seven-member board.

Michael Lauderdale is a trial attorney whose litigation and counseling practice focuses primarily on the representation of employers in all phases of employment law.  In addition to being listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Michael also serves as an administrative law judge for the Oklahoma Department of Labor.

Richard Nix oversees the firm’s Employee Benefits Group, which is one of the largest of its kind in the Southwest. His practice encompasses the entire range of employee benefit services, including qualified and nonqualified plans, executive compensation arrangements, health and welfare plans, and all other deferred compensation matters.  He also serves on the board of directors of the SouthWest Benefits Association.
