Law Day 2023

McAfee & Taft joins lawyers, law firms, judges, justices and the legal industry in celebrating Law Day, May 1. This annual observance has been a visible part of American legal culture since President Eisenhower established it in 1958 to celebrate the rule of law in a free society. Law Day provides an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect our liberty, strive to achieve justice, and contribute to the freedoms that all Americans share.

This year’s Law Day theme is “Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration.” The goal is to rebuild trust in our institutions, respect for one another, and our willingness to collaborate to address the challenges that face our nation.
