Leadership Oklahoma City honors Matt Bown with Paragon Award

Matt Bown, McAfee & Taft’s chief operating officer, was honored with the 2016 Paragon Award by Leadership Oklahoma City at its annual Awards and Graduation Luncheon held at the Petroleum Club in downtown Oklahoma City on May 25, 2016. A graduate of LOKC Class XXI, Bown was recognized for his years of exemplary volunteer service and leadership to Community Literacy Centers, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching adults to read in a safe, welcoming environment.

Leadership Oklahoma City (LOKC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing leaders who have the capacity to be effective forces of positive change in the community. The Paragon Award is given annually to honor outstanding volunteer work by one of its graduates on behalf of a local nonprofit or school. One recipient is chosen from the nominations as the Paragon Award winner, and the nominating agency of that winner is awarded a $3500 grant in the winner’s honor.
