Mark Hayes Jr., Matthew Holman and Sam Merchant join Oklahoma’s largest law firm
Mark Hayes Jr. is a trial lawyer whose civil litigation practice involves the resolution of a broad range of complex commercial and business disputes in both state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings. A portion of his practice is devoted to environmental law and litigation. Hayes graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 2016 and earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. While in law school, Hayes served as assistant articles editor for the Oklahoma Law Review and as a judicial intern for The Honorable John E. Dowdell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
Matthew Holman is a transactional lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of corporate and business matters. A portion of his practice is devoted to representing energy and oil and gas companies in a broad range of transactional matters, including asset sales and acquisitions, joint operating agreements, oil and gas leases, and other contracts.
Holman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2016 and earned his bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. While in law school, he was a member of the Arkansas Law Review and served on the executive committee of the Student Bar Association.
Samuel Merchant is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on business and commercial litigation before state and federal courts, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. A portion of his practice is devoted to exclusively representing management in labor and employment matters.
Merchant graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013. While in law school he served as president of the Student Bar Association, assistant managing editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, and vice president of the OU Law Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He also served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Robert E. Bacharach of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
