McAfee & Taft, 20 attorneys honored in 2015 edition of Benchmark Litigation

October 22, 2014

McAfee & Taft earned top marks in the 2015 edition of Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading business litigation firms and attorneys, and 20 of the firm’s trial lawyers – the most of any law firm in Oklahoma – were singled out for recognition.

McAfee & Taft earned the publication’s highest ranking of “Highly Recommended,” which is reserved for law firms receiving the most mentions by peers and clients, and who are held as dominant in their particular jurisdiction.

Named as “local litigation stars” were Joseph Bocock, Tim Bomhoff, John Burkhardt, Mary Quinn Cooper, Brad Donnell, John Hermes, John Kenney, Michael Lauderdale, Bill Leach, Michael McClintock, Kathy Neal, Charles Plumb, Reid Robison, Michael Smith, Spencer Smith and Jeff Todd. Cooper was also named earlier this year to Benchmark’s annual list of the Top 250 Women in Litigation. Jodi Dishman, Rodney Hunsinger, Ron Shinn and Todd Woolery were highlighted as “future stars.” Benchmark recognizes “local litigation stars” as those attorneys “who were recommended consistently as reputable and effective litigators by clients and peers.” Attorneys who were consistently recommended by peer partners, competitors and clients as litigators who are likely to appear as local litigation stars in coming editions were recognized as “future stars.”

Benchmark focuses exclusively on the U.S. litigation market, with a research team conducting extensive interviews around the country with leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel.

McAfee & Taft is Oklahoma’s largest law firm and one of the nation’s top 250 firms as ranked by the National Law Journal. With its deep roster of 180 attorneys, the firm serves clients locally, nationally and internationally in the areas of aviation, business law, corporate and securities, employee benefits, entertainment law, environmental law, healthcare, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, oil and gas, real estate and tax and family wealth.
