McAfee & Taft adds aviation paralegal Zarah Barnes

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced the addition of Zarah Barnes as a paralegal for the firm’s worldwide aircraft financing, title and registration practice.  In this role, she works directly with the firm’s aviation attorneys to ensure their clients’ interests in aircraft, engines and helicopters are protected and in compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration procedures and Aircraft Protocol.  Barnes also assists attorneys with escrowing funds, preparing closing statements, and complying with know your customer (KYC) regulations.

Barnes holds both a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s of education degree in adult and higher education from the University of Oklahoma.  Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, she worked as a recruiter and later as a community outreach specialist for one of the nation’s largest providers of human capital management software. Her prior career experience also includes serving as an assistant director for the University of Oklahoma’s Office of Student Life.
