McAfee & Taft adds intellectual property paralegal Priscilla Anderson
McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced the addition of Priscilla Anderson as a paralegal with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Her responsibilities include preparing and reviewing documents used in the preparation and filing of U.S. and foreign patent applications, trademark applications, patent and trademark responses, renewals, and copyright applications; handling maintenance fee payments for U.S. patents and annuities for foreign patents and applications; coordinating and preparing documents for intellectual property litigation in both federal court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; and coordinating international applications with the firm’s vast network of foreign associates.
Anderson’s prior career experience includes working as paralegal for lawyers engaged in the defense of high-profile product liability lawsuits, as a legal exhibit and document production specialist for a court reporting firm, and as an IP legal assistant and docket clerk for a large Oklahoma City law firm.
She earned her associate’s degree in administrative office technology from Oklahoma City Community College in 2002 and her legal assistant certificate from the University of Oklahoma Legal Assistant Program in 2004.
