McAfee & Taft attorneys and staff team up with Rebuilding Together OKC to make improvements to senior’s home

McAfee & Taft attorneys and staff joined more than 2,000 volunteers across the city giving their time and talent to make home repairs for 33 local homeowners during Rebuilding Together OKC’s 20th Annual Work Day on Saturday, May 7, 2011.

The McAfee & Taft team worked at the home of Zella Davis. They provided repairs including replacing outlets, switches and fixtures, installing carpet and handrails, painting exterior, removing hazardous trees and shrubs, and repairing the kitchen floor. The team included Shannon Mercer, Patsy Trotter, Erin Van Laanen, Curtis Thomas, Cole Marshall, Cameron Clark, Conner Mercer, Joseph Dwelerkotte, Nathanial Trotter, Rachel Evans, Jared Mashaney, Trish Tyree, Rusty LaForge, Trent Bridges, Jim Prince, Anna Prince and Alison Patel.

Rebuilding Together OKC improves the living conditions of low-income senior homeowners in the Oklahoma City metro area by making free home repairs and modifications throughout the year. Individuals must own and reside in their own home, be 55 years or older and be financially unable to make the repairs. Since 1992, Rebuilding Together OKC has improved over 1,700 homes and provided more than $18 million in value to the Oklahoma City community.
