In "Hornets in OKC: The anatomy of a deal," Oklahoman sports writer Jenni Carlson chronicles how the New Orleans Hornets came to land in Oklahoma City after Hurricane Katrina devastated their home city and forced them to seek shelter elsewhere.

McAfee & Taft was proud to represent the National Basketball Association as local counsel in its contract negotiations with the New Orleans Hornets, the City of Oklahoma City and the Ford Center. Under the terms of the deal, the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets will play 35 regular season games at the Ford Center during the 2005 – 2006 season.
