McAfee & Taft names Josh Boren as chief human resources officer

McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, has named Josh Boren as its new chief human resources officer. In this role, he is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the firm’s human capital management, including a focus on recruiting, talent management, and employee development. He also works closely with the firm’s board of directors and leadership team on strategic planning and enhancing the employee experience.

Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Josh served as director of human resources for an HVAC company with more than 600 employees. Over 10 years in that role, he helped develop new and improved processes for employee onboarding, recruiting, and performance management. Prior to that role, he managed multiple locations for a local recruiting and staffing company, where he worked with more than 200 companies in downtown and north Oklahoma City on professional search, contract recruiting, and workforce management plans.

Boren holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative leadership from the University of Oklahoma. He is a senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society for Human Resource Management and is an active member of the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society.
