Once again, McAfee & Taft has been named to The National Law Journal‘s list of the largest law firms in the United States, earning a spot at No. 222 on the 2016 NLJ 500. The firm broke its way onto the NLJ 250 list in 2012 and has retained its position as one of the nation’s 250 largest firms since that time. 2016 marks the first year in which the list was expanded by ALM, publishers of The National Law Journal, to include the top 500 firms.
The National Law Journal‘s annual ranking of the nation’s largest law firms are based on the average number of full-time equivalent attorneys for the period January 1 and December 31, 2015. Lawyer counts do not include contract or temporary attorneys. A firm must have more lawyers based in the United States than in any other single country to be included on the list.
