McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced the addition of Amy M. Poyner, as a paralegal with the firm’s Business Transactions and Real Estate groups. Poyner provides comprehensive legal support for lawyers engaged in a broad range of complex business and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, contract negotiations and drafting, and business financing, as well as transactions involving real estate sales, exchanges, leases, acquisitions, construction and development, and financing.

Poyner began her legal career in 2003 after graduating with honors from the Legal Office Administration and Legal Assistant/Paralegal programs at City College in Moore, OK.  Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, she worked as a paralegal and office manager for a boutique litigation firm for three years and as securities litigation paralegal for two Oklahoma City-based firms for 15 years.

With more than 170 attorneys and offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Springfield, McAfee & Taft is one of the nation’s 250 largest law firms as ranked by National Law Journal.
