Paralegal Susanna J. Wilson joins McAfee & Taft’s Intellectual Property Group
McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced the addition of Susanna J. Wilson, as a paralegal with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing U.S. and foreign patent applications and related documents, trademark applications, patent and trademark responses, renewals, and copyright applications; handling maintenance fee payments for U.S. patents and annuities for foreign patents and applications; preparing and reviewing intellectual property agreements; and providing paralegal support for intellectual property litigation filed in both federal court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Wilson began her career as a legal assistant for a criminal defense firm in New Mexico and later moved to Oklahoma, where she worked as a legal assistant for a small bankruptcy and family law practice and as a labor and employment litigation paralegal for a large Oklahoma City-based firm.
Wilson graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico with her bachelor’s degree in criminology.
