Physician Collaboration — Recent Antitrust Opinion on NPHO
During the Oklahoma Bar Association’s 2013 Annual Meeting, the OBA’s Health Law Section will be presenting a six-hour CLE program. McAfee & Taft director and healthcare attorney Michael Joseph is a featured speaker during the program, presenting "Physician Collaboration — Recent Antitrust Opinion on NPHO." He examines the recent advisory opinion by the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition that was favorable to a proposal by the Norman Physician Hospital Organization (NPHO) to form a clinically integrated health care network. It was the first guidance for clinically integrated health care provider networks since passage of the Affordable Care Act and issuance of the joint FTC-DOJ Accountable Care Organization Antitrust Policy Statement.
