Reopening the Workplace after COVID-19: Part 2 — Legal and Practical Employment Issues

On April 16, 2020, President Trump announced his three-phase plan to reopen the American economy. State governors and city mayors are also starting to plan for lifting “stay-at-home” restrictions. Employers are now faced with the daunting challenge of knowing when to return employees to the workplace, and what policies and processes need to be in place before reopening the workplace.

In this three-part video series, McAfee & Taft lawyers Brandon LongCharlie Plumb and Kirk Turner are joined by special guest Dr. Creagh Milford, public policy and public health expert and chief medical officer for Healthcare Highways. They discuss the latest medical information on COVID-19 and what employers should know before reopening the workplace, what employment law implications impact returning employees to work, and how returning to work affects 401(k) plans, health plans and other employee benefits.
