Sexual Harassment and Hostile Work Environment
While the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements were initially sparked by a wave of sexual harassment and assault claims brought against celebrities and other high-profile individuals, the movements quickly spread into everyday workplaces as well, prompting employers across the nation to reconsider their anti-harassment training and policies. In her presentation titled “Sexual Harassment and Hostile Work Environment” at the 2018 Oklahoma Labor & Management Conference, McAfee & Taft labor and employment attorney Elizabeth Bowersox provides an overview of how sexual harassment claims are being tried in both the legal courts and courts of public opinion, reviews case law examples, and offers tips for harassment prevention.
The annual Oklahoma Labor & Management Conference is designed to provide useful information to anyone who deals with labor and management decisions in the public, private and federal sectors. Attendees include managers, supervisors, local presidents, advocates, HR directors, union officers/stewards, and attorneys.
