Three Associates Join McAfee & Taft

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced that recent law school honor graduates Lauren E. BargholsJeremiah L. Buettner and Wagner Dias da Silva have joined the firm as associates.

Lauren E. Barghols is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice on commercial litigation and the representation of employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. Barghols graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was a Comfort Scholar and named to the Order of the Coif.  The Edmond native also served as submissions editor for Oklahoma Law Review.

Jeremiah L. Buettner is a trial lawyer whose general civil litigation practice covers a broad range of business and commercial disputes, including antitrust litigation, construction litigation and contract disputes. While at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, the Comfort Scholar served as articles editor for Oklahoma Law Review and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor society.  He most recently was named to the Order of the Coif.

Wagner Dias da Silva is a corporate lawyer, devoting much of his practice to corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, agreement drafting, entity formation and regulatory matters. As a law student, he served on the editorial board of Oklahoma Law Review, was a member of Golden Key Honor Society, and was the recipient of the Rayburn L. Foster Scholarship. Prior to entering the University of Oklahoma, the Sao Paulo, Brazil, native worked as a certified translator and interpreter and as an English instructor to Brazilian business executives.
