New Associates Join McAfee & Taft
McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced that recent law school graduates H. Cole Marshall and Curtis J. Thomas have joined the firm as associates. The addition of the three new attorneys brings the firm’s lawyer count to 147.
H. Cole Marshall is a corporate lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of business matters, including corporate and securities, commercial transactions, business law, and real estate as well as energy, oil and gas. He holds an undergraduate degree in agricultural economics and dedicates a portion of his practice to agricultural law. The 2009 University of Oklahoma College of Law honors graduate served as note editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, for which he was awarded the Gene and JoAnn Sharp Award for best law review note. Marshall is also the recipient of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation scholarship and American Jurisprudence awards in Legal Research and Writing and Constitutional Law. Prior to entering law school, he worked as a business analyst for Accenture, Ltd.
Curtis J. Thomas is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on business and commercial litigation as well as labor and employment law. He counsels clients in the areas of contract disputes, tort claims, employment discrimination claims and other employee-related disputes. While attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, the honors graduate and Comfort scholar served as an articles editor for the Oklahoma Law Review. Thomas is also the recipient of an American Jurisprudence Award in Alternative Dispute Resolution and is a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity. Prior to attending law school, he worked for two years as a municipal information specialist for a local non-profit that advocates for the interests of Oklahoma cities and towns.
