Trial lawyer Christopher Scaperlanda joins firm

McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm, has announced that trial and appellate lawyer Christopher M. Scaperlanda has joined the firm. His state and federal litigation practice encompasses a broad range of commercial matters, including those involving insurance disputes, securities claims, directors’ and officers’ liability, contract disputes, and other complex business litigation.

Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Scaperlanda worked in private practice as a trial lawyer in the Milwaukee, WI, office of the law firm of Quarles & Brady, LLP, and as a research fellow for Marquette University Law School, where he researched issues related to agricultural policy and its impact on small and medium-sized farmers and producers.

Scaperlanda graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and theology from the University of Notre Dame. While in law school, he served as an editor of The Review of Litigation journal.
