Labor Law Update
Speaking at the 2019 Oklahoma Labor/Management Conference, McAfee & Taft labor and employment attorney Tony Puckett provides an update on some of the most significant National Labor Relations Board decisions from the past year, including cases involving elections, collective bargaining, discipline, benefits, independent contractor status, and Section 7 rights. Other topics include a review of recent General Counsel Memos, NLRB Advice Memos, the NRLB’s proposed new joint employer standard rule, and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Epic Systems that found the National Labor Relations Act does not bar employers from using arbitration agreements that include a class waiver.
The annual Oklahoma Labor & Management Conference is designed to provide useful information to anyone who deals with labor and management decisions in the public, private and federal sectors. Attendees include managers, supervisors, local presidents, advocates, HR directors, union officers/stewards, and attorneys.
